I will be leaving California soon for my husband's job but I really wanted to go back to Yosemite one last time before we go.  I went strictly to take pictures because it's my new love. I think it was a successful tip overall and I was happy to be there even if it was just for one day but I can't help but wish that 100% of my pictures would turn out the way I saw them in my head instead of just a few. It's frustrating because my camera is just a simple point-and-shoot without many options and I have to be extremely steady-handed or all the pictures turn out blurry. But, I guess it's just more reason to keep saving up for my DSLR. I've asked only for money for Christmas to help in my endeavors but it's still very expensive so it may be awhile. Until then I'll just keep taking as many pictures as I can and stay inspired...

I'm so glad to have some outlet to show my pictures. My parents and husband are supportive but they are of the mindset that pictures are to document, not so much as to be art... so although they think my photos are "nice" I hope that someone here will be able to look at them as potential works of art and give me feedback and critique. I'm very new to photography (just bought my "point-and-shoot" a year ago and before that I just had my iPhone) so I am excited to learn more!
